Stephen kelly, Minister of Music

Stephen lives in Southaven MS, with his wife Shelana and their two children. He accepted Jesus into his life as a child and grew up as an active church member of Broadway Baptist Church. Music has been a part of Stephen’s life as long as he can remember. He started singing in children’s choir and youth choir at church. In high school at SBEC (Northpoint) he played trumpet and euphonium in concert and marching bands, and he played in the worship band for chapel and church youth group. In college, he rediscovered his love of choral music and changed his major to music. After moving back to DeSoto county and surviving covid lockdown, Stephen and Shelana found themselves looking for a new church home, and Boulevard welcomed their growing family with open hearts.

Stephen graduated from William Carey University with a Bachelors of Arts in Music with a focus in voice and choral conducting. In his free time he enjoys reading, playing games with his kids, and navigating the beautiful chaos that comes from two small children and a dog with his wonderful wife. Stephen is honored to serve as music minister for his church family at Boulevard, and he prays that the Lord will use him in this ministry.
